The Wedding Diaries - T minus 3 months!

T minus 3 months..

Ahh 3 months ‘til our wedding.. 2 months ‘til my hen do.. it’s all coming around so fast!

I was feeling pretty organised last week, our invites have been sent, suits and dresses all sorted, then you remember the finer details. Flower girls socks? Shoes? Hair clips? Hair trial? My own shoes?? Okay so maybe I’m not as organised as I thought but all the main things are booked and sorted, so I’m just gathering a list of everything that still needs sorting and working my way through it/ handing out jobs and responsibilities to other family members ha!

I haven’t been stressed whilst planning our wedding, but there are parts that are difficult and you have to compromise together to work out what’s best for you both. Families can be such a stressful part  of planning a wedding, who to invite and who not to. It’s been hard at some points for us but we’ve kind of just decided to invite the family that we do see and hear from. It’s nothing against the rest but having big families you can’t justify inviting family that you barely see or speak to or else it would be a never ending list, and chances are they wouldn’t be that bothered about coming anyway.

I also think it’s important to stick to your guns on who to invite, even if your Nan thinks you should invite her next door neighbour because she always asks about you! At the end of the day it’s up to the two of you and as long as you two agree that’s all that matters, isn’t it?

I’ve got my first dress fitting at the beginning of May and although I’ve always been conscious about my weight, I’m trying to not let that get in the way and spoil the enjoyment of the whole process of getting my dress. I tried it on last week and it does need some alterations so I’m going to just keep doing what I’m doing and hope for the best.

Rosie keeps telling people about ‘mummy and Daddy’s weddings ’ which is just the cutest thing.. we asked her what she’d like to eat on the day and she said ‘party food’ so I think she’s still in party mode from her birthday ha. She obviously doesn’t understand what it is she just thinks it’s a big party and has to wear a ‘pretty dress’ which I suppose is a wedding summed up really isn’t it?!

People keep asking me am I excited and I can’t say fully that I am yet I just want to make sure everything is sorted, and I’m really nervous to walk down the aisle! I don’t do good being centre of attention so I’m hoping a few glasses of Prosecco in the morning will ease my nerves!
