Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon's palette: Review

If guilt free indulgence is your thing..

Then look no further! If you stumbled across my blog and are frantically searching for a last minute Valentine's gift for your chocolate and makeup addicted girlfriend, you too are in the right place! A chocolate bar with zero calories but still smells amazing, what more could she ask for?!

The Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon's palette is a mixture of rich neutrals, sugary brights and candied pops of colour.

Chocolate Bon Bon's is the third eye shadow palette to be added to the family of cocoa infused palettes from Too Faced. The first one I reviewed last year when I first started my blog and you can read this here (it was my first week of blogging, don't judge!). This edition has 14 new shades exclusive to the Bon Bon's palette and 2 old favourites. And yes, they all still smell luxuriously satisfying, if not more delicious than the original Chocolate Bar palette.

There are 16 matte and shimmer shades in the collection, personally I like the mattes best and that's purely because lately I love to wear a full matte nude brown eye. Almond Truffle and Mocha are two of my faves, closely followed by pecan praline and Bordeaux. I have swatched the full Chocolate Bon Bon's palette below to give you a better idea.

From left to right: Almond Truffle, Cashew Chew, Dark Truffle, Cotton Candy, Pecan Praline, Cafe Au Lait, Totally Fetch, Sprinkles, Bordeaux, Earl Grey, Molasses Chip, Mocha, Malted, Black Currant, Divinity, Satin Sheets. Phew!

All of the shades seem to be perfectly pigmented, and as you can see from the swatches, the shimmers seem to be a lot more pigmented than the lighter mattes. Most of the mattes are very nude though as opposed to the bright shimmers so maybe that's why they don't have as much colour pay off. I've tried them on my eyes and I didn't get any fall out when I primed with my Mac Soft Ocre paint pot which is an added bonus!

I have to say I love the packaging of this palette, the outside is identical to the original Chocolate Bar Palette only it's pink instead of brown. The fact that it is shaped into chocolate bar chunks is a novelty but I totally fell for it because it's so cute! As if that wasn't enough, inside the palette, each shade is set into it's own individual heart shaped pan (minus the two highlight shades) which is perfect for valentines!

Do you own any of the Chocolate Bar palettes from Too Faced? Which is your fave?
