Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop: Review

Okay so I said last week that my mid week posts would be short and sweet, but if anyone's free all day to talk about just how beaut this highlight is please give me a shout!

After being on a waiting list on (I think it was) Liberty, I gave up hope in finding a website in the UK that would supply me with the flawless highlight that is Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfecter from Becca Cosmetics. I finally found it last week on Cult Beauty and immediately placed my order. Why this site isn't parading around the fact that they stock it I do not know!! So I'm doing it for them.. go get it girls!!

Anyway, on to the star of the show itself, the Becca Cosmetics Shimmering skin perfecter in Champagne Pop by Jaclyn Hill. Mouthful? Yes. Worth it? Most definitely yes.

This highlight is a really soft powder that feels creamy as you glide it over your skin. I tried this out for the first time yesterday and was hooked, it just adds that extra pop of luminosity that I'm yet to discover in other highlighters. A gentle pearlescent glow can be achieved simply by sweeping this ever so slightly over the tops of the cheek bones, brow bone, the end of the nose and the Cupid's bow. If you're going out in the evening and you want people to be able to see their reflection in your highlight, then go ahead and build it up because it only gets better the more you add.

Champagne Pop has light reflecting pearls in it which is perfect for emphasising your cheekbones for a healthy looking glow. I feel bad that my Mary Lou Maniser is taking a back seat now and I'm sure I'll go back to it at some point, however I do need some quality time with champagne pop (I've waited long enough for it!)

It is on the more pricey side at £32, but the formula of the powder you can clearly tell has been well thought through because it adds the perfect shimmer of light onto your face in one little swish of the brush. In my eyes, this highlight is a complete game changer.

The packaging is also definitely a lot sturdier than most highlights I've tried, the rubber grip around the outside ensures you that you've got no chance of having that awful dreaded feeling of picking up a powder when it's slipped out of your hand and fallen onto the floor. It also has a fairly big mirror inside, the full size of the lid which is really handy too.

That's all I'm going to write for this post to try to keep these mid week ones as short as possible (it didn't turn out to be so short did it, sorry!)

Let me know if you've tried this highlight or which your favourite is. I did a post a few months ago on my Top 3 Highlighters so this may have to be revised now thanks to Becca Cosmetics!

Thanks for reading x

  4. One inquiry that we habitually hear from our California customers is, "The reason wouldn't i be able to simply get a liquor permit straightforwardly from the state?" at times the appropriate response is, you can, however for the individuals who wish to sell a full line of cocktails it's not really basic.
