Breakfast in Manchester - Home Sweet Home

Comfort food at it's finest..

And it serves breakfast until 3pm! Home Sweet Home is a cute little diner in the Northern Quarter of Manchester. It's kind of a well kept secret that is now becoming more and more popular through word of mouth. Myself and Connor have been going for a few months now, and with Connor working away, we try to go once every time he's home (every other month) as a little treat. We often like to take a trip mid week when it's less busy, as weekends can get pretty hectic.

My favourite has to be the waffles, they are made from pancake mix so essentially taste the same just thicker and fluffier. I have a slight obsession with the syrup I literally lather it on like its one of my five a day haha.

This is Connors favourite, the Lucky Sevens burger. Obviously, this costs £7.77 haha. It's made up of a sausage patty, a poached egg, a rasher of crispy bacon, black pudding and two layers of cheese. Yes, seven items on a muffin. Without fail Connor chooses this and he's never disappointed.

We've been here a few times now and the food is always delicious and satisfying. There are healthier choices on the menu such as Eggs Benedict and Scrambled Eggs etc, but I can never resist the waffles! The service at Home Sweet Home is consistently excellent, there's always someone running around with a jug of coffee (the filter coffee is bottomless) which is great if your boyfriend is a coffee addict like mine. I always have a tea and a Rose infused Lemonade which, if you haven't tasted, I highly recommend you do as it's soo nice!

Pancakes until 2pm is perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings when you fancy a late lie in and then breakfast at lunch time. The cake selection here also looks amazing! I've never had enough room for one once I've finished my food but I'll definitely be trying one at some point, they're huge!

Have you ever tried Home Sweet Home? How do you like your eggs in the morning?!
