Cruelty Free Makeup: Beautiful Movements Cosmetics

There's just something quite satisfying knowing the makeup I'm using is all natural ingredients..

I've been meaning to do this post for like two months, but I was so busy prepping for my holiday it just completely slipped my mind. As you might know, I was invited to an event with Holland & Barrett which was dedicated to natural beauty. You can read more about the event here. I was very proud of that post because it was published on the Holland & Barrett monthly email which is just surreal! Anyway, around a week later, I was sent a box full of goodies from one of the brands at the event, Beautiful Movements Cosmetics.

Prior to the event I had never even heard of Beautiful Movements, they are a brand sold in Holland & Barrett that pride themselves on having natural ingredients to make your skin feel glowy and hydrated even when you're wearing a full face. They are also cruelty free which is an added bonus!

The range from beautiful movements is absolutely huge, and is all reasonably priced similar to high street brands. My favourites from what they sent me are the glosses, but the eyeshadows are so incredibly pigmented I could literally bathe in the turquoise one! I think if I ever decide I want to be a real life mermaid, this will be the shadow I reach to first.

This mineral foundation (shade Stripped) is really lightweight and gentle on the skin, perfect for a quick dust over before you leave the house. The foundation also contains Zinc Oxide which is a natural anti-inflammatory which is great for spot prone skin. It does actually feel great to put something on your face and know that it won't cause any breakouts or redness. No product from this brand contains Parabens or any synthetic dyes or fragrances which is something that I think is catching on with brands more often now.

This eyeshadow is Aquatic Galaxy.. Yes just wow! It looks turquoise in the case, but a rainbow of colours when it hits the light. It is literally the ultimate mermaid eyeshadow!

This one is dusty road, a beautiful golden sand colour, which is great for the inner corners but I actually use it on my cheekbones as a highlighter when I'm wearing fake tan because it gives me that perfect JLo glow! This one is definitely my favourite.

Up next we have Silver Cloud. This is beautiful but the swatch picture doesn't actually do it justice because it is a really metallic ice white, very similar to Mac Cosmetics Vanilla pigment, although the ingredients are a lot more skin friendly.

This Lipgloss is the shade Indian Summer. It is a really shiny nude brown colour, and I love wearing it over a really nude lipstick like Mac Myth to give it that extra something. I do have another gloss which is more of a nude pink but my little sister has borrowed it for her holiday because she loves them too.

Finally this is a mineral blush in the shade Peachy Glow. It is a gorgeous peachy coral colour which is perfect for summer. I only use a tiny bit of this at a time on the apples of my cheeks. Mixed with Dusty Road it gives a lovely golden flush.

Thank you again to Holland & Barrett's PR team for sending me these Beautiful Movements goodies!

Have you tried this brand before? What are your thoughts on cruelty free makeup?

Thanks for reading x
