I think my last beauty favourites post was over a year ago, so I thought I'd do an update on products I'm loving at the moment.
I have to do my makeup in the morning in around 15 minutes while Rosie eats her breakfast, and I think I've finally streamlined the products I use everyday (Gone are the eyeshadow palettes at the moment you will see ha!).
These are the things I’ve been using for a couple of months if not longer now and I use them pretty much everyday. Side note - I try to have two makeup free days a week where I treat my skin to a full cleanse, tone and moisturise routine in a morning as well as night time. My fear of ageing is real ha.
- Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch primer - This is so creamy and makes you feel as though you’ve made a barrier between your skin and your foundation. Love.
- Dior Diorshow Iconic High Definition Lash Curler Mascara - I got this for Christmas and it’s amazing. Like actually better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex that I’ve been using for the past two years. You can read my post on that here. I will try to do a full post and maybe compare them in the next couple of weeks.
- Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand - If anyone follows my Instagram you might have seen on my story that I dropped and smashed my Charlotte Tilbury Bronze and Glow palette just before Christmas. (Worst day ever also got hit by a lorry in my car on the motorway, fab). So Connor kindly bought me this for Christmas to replace my palette. I’d never really used a cream highlighter except for the little Topshop Glow Pot but I absolutely love this. I feel like it gives more of a natural, healthy looking glow compared to the finish that a powder gives. This is a new fave.
- Mac Studio Fix Powder (NC15) - Such an old product but one I don’t think I’ll ever stop using. I mainly use this to set under the eyes, forehead and chin depending on the coverage I’m going for. It keeps my foundation in place all day and isn’t drying like some powders I’ve used.
- Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer (01 Light) - I treated myself to this after Christmas because I used it a few years ago and I remembered loving it. My feelings have not changed ha I actually forgot just how much I liked it! It has a matte finish and is perfect for contouring or just a quick dust all over to warm the face up. It’s quite expensive for a single product but it’s huge so lasts for ages (that’s me justifying it to myself FYI). I also use this as an eyeshadow sometimes too and just blend a small amount into the socket for a natural look.
- It Cosmetics 'Your Skin But Better' CC+ cream - This is another product I got for Christmas, I'd heard so many good things about this cream I was desperate to try it out for myself. If you've never used a CC cream before (I hadn't until this one) it kind of feels as though you're applying moisturiser rather than foundation, but you still get the amazing full coverage. It even smells like a moisturiser which at first I wasn't too sure on but now I actually really like. It has quite a thick consistency so a little goes a long way with this product. This is a bit more on the pricey side so I don't use it everyday, I've been switching between this and Loreal True Match which is really affordable and great coverage.
- Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip (Fortune Cookie) - This is a really pale nude brown colour and looks lovely with Rimmel Cappucino liner. I'm not always a fan of liquid lipsticks but I love the BB ones. Especially now that Rosie wants kisses on her cheeks all the time they are smudge proof so she stays makeup free haha.
- Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips List (Kim KW) - As you can see from the photos I've used this lipstick to death it has been my favourite for so long now. I used to use it on it's own but I've now been applying it over the Lip Whip for a more satin finish as oppose to matte. It's the perfect pinky nude shade so goes with pretty much anything.
The other things I use everyday I won't go on about because I've already spoke about them on here before. Read my (old) review on ABH Dip Brow Pomade here.
That's pretty much everything I use everyday, everything is linked if you want to find out more about a specific product.
Thanks for reading x
