The Body Shop Oils of Life Event..

I felt so incredibly lucky last week! I was invited to The Body Shop at the Trafford Centre to see the brand new Oils of Life range in action. It was fab!

Alicia, a skin care expert at the shop, greeted us at the door for a closed viewing of the collection. I wish I had taken a photo of the shop now because they had a red carpet and ropes outside, I felt like an actual VIP!

I loved this event because the bloggers were all asked to bring their mums along. My mum and I were handed a glass of Bucks Fizz upon arrival and told to have a look around whilst we waited for a few more girls to arrive. We were also told to help ourselves to cakes, fruit and nibbles whilst we wait which was great! The shop was set out so lovely, with the newest collections and information about them all laid out for us to see. We then gathered around the centre to watch Alicia perform a facial cleanse on her Assistant Manager, who's skin was glowing by the end of it! This was so interesting because Alicia was giving us tips and tricks alongside each step.

Products from various different ranges from The Body Shop were used during the demonstration, which I loved because some of the products I use myself, so I could see how an expert would use them and compare this with my own skin care routine. When asked which range was my favourite, I obviously had to say the Vitamin E range, it is only by coincidence I had posted about the Face Mist from that range just a couple of weeks ago. I was told if I liked this range, then I would LOVE the Oils of Life. It was from then on I was sold.

The Body Shop prides itself on the new Oils of Life range being 99% natural ingredients. I think this is just fab because the less chemicals and harsh products we put on our skin the better. 'Intensely Revitalising Skincare' is the slogan of this collection, so I am excited to see if the products live up to the hype. There are four products in this range, however you may only need three. There is an Essential Lotion, a Facial Oil, and two creams. From what I gathered from the demonstration, the creams do the same job, it all depends on your skin type as to which one will work best for you, the cream or the gel cream. As an added extra in the line, there is also a Twin Ball Facial Massager, which is designed to improve circulation, and reduce puffiness and wrinkles. Winner!

The Oils of Life range is more of a high end product for The Body Shop compared to the majority of their previous collections, however when compared with other high end skin care products they are an absolute bargain! This collection revolves around three precious seed oils which are Black Cumin, Camellia, and Rosehip.

Black Cumin - Known for its concentration in antioxidants, from the Egyptian Nile Valley

Camellia - Rich in Nutritive Citric acid, from the Evergreen trees of China

Rosehip - Rich in repairing Omega 3 and 6, from the Andes Foothills of Chile

A lot of info, right?! But how interesting! To think we are able to have these pure, natural seed oils soaked into our skin as part of our daily skincare routine I think is amazing. Anyone who knows me knows I have a fear of ageing, I hate the thought of wrinkles and getting old, so for a few years now I have tried to make a real effort with my skin care. I have recently finished the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which I loved, so this collection came at the perfect time for me.

This was the goody bag I was lucky enough to receive crammed full of samples!

I think I've rambled on for long enough with this post now, I just wanted to write a more informative post to show just how amazing I think this collection is going to be. I'm currently using some of the products now, so if you would like a full review of them please let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading x
